When its computers are idle from performing geothermal numerical simulation, Geothermal Science, Inc. donates all idle CPU time to the World Community Grid project. See below:
World Community Grid brings people together from across the globe to create the largest non-profit computing grid benefiting humanity. It does this by pooling surplus computer processing power. We believe that innovation combined with visionary scientific research and large-scale volunteerism can help make the planet smarter. Our success depends on like-minded individuals – like you.
The statistics below show our cumulative contribution to the project. One year of computation time (CPU-year) equates to the computation done by one cpu running full time for a year. Geothermal Science has contributed over 90 CPU-years to the project and ranks in the top 1000 contributors out of over 600,000 participants.
